Activities for home - Year 1
Due to the latest Government guidelines regarding self-isolation we have attached a range of Math, English, Phonics and Topic activities to this page for your child to complete at home if self-isolation is required. Children should practise saying their sounds each day (especially set 2 and 3) using the speed sounds chart which has already been handed out. Children should also complete the Phonics activity booklet and games which have already been sent home. Children can practise reading and writing words which contain the sounds learnt.
It is also important for your child to continue their exposure to reading, this includes reading themselves and being read to.
The attached work does not need to be printed, the children can complete this in the exercise book that has been sent home.
Alongside the work attached below, Year 1 have been set a research task:
Research a famous London landmark and create a fact file about it.
