In English we have loved our book ‘Escape from Pompeii’ and learning all about volcanoes and earthquakes which we told everyone about in our class assembly. Some children brought in some real volcanic rock and we even made our own volcanoes erupt in class!
During our Design & Technology sessions, we designed and built our own earthquake proof structures that needed to be strong enough to hold a 500g weight. We also thought about how we could strengthen and reinforce our designs, what went well and what we can improve next time.
